About Happier at Home
Thank you for your interest in Happier at Home Pet Sitting. My name is Jackie Emrick and I am the owner and operator of Happier at Home. I live in Greeley, Colorado with my husband Ken. We are both bonded and insured and will meet with you personally to determine your petsitting needs.
We have lovingly cared for and raised a number of pets over the years, including an appaloosa mare, African clawed frogs, a variety of newts, a guinea pig, an eastern three-toed box turtle, cockatiels, parakeets, cats and many others. Today three happy dogs run our household.
Born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, I had a career in computer programming and systems analysis. A move to San Angelo, Texas allowed me to pursue my true interests and I became a full-time volunteer for the Humane Society of Tom Green County. Named Volunteer of the Year in 2003, I was nominated to and served on the board of directors.
Moving to Greeley in April of 2005 gave me yet another opportunity. Wanting to continue to work with clients of the four-legged kind I decided to open a pet sitting service. This invaluable service benefits both pets and their owners. Pets can remain comfortable and safe in their own homes, and owners can enjoy their time away knowing that their pets are following their daily routine and are being cared for by a loving and capable professional.
We cater to pets of all types except those with eight or more legs, and those who are fed furry meals - dead or alive.
